Well, it seems that Samhain has left a lasting impression in my home this year. Sure, the costumes and decorations are put away and a majority of Ariana's trick-or-treating candy has been eaten, but the spirit of Samhain is still lingering. And when I say spirit...I mean spirit.

A few days before Samhain, at 2:00 am or so, Marlevane (my hubby) and I heard a loud thumping in our bedroom closet. We didn't really think much of it at the time because we live in an apartment and sometimes the neighbors can get a bit noisy, so we thought it was them. Anyway...about ten minutes went past and we heard it again. It continued for quite some time before I thought, "Hey, perhaps this isn't the neighbors after all. Perhaps this is a spirit that is communicating with us, like the spirits use to communicate with the Fox Sisters." So now, I decided to test my theory and asked questions to see if the knocking would participate with me. I told them to knock 2 times for "yes" and 3 times for "no", and they obliged. After about 4 questions, the knocking stopped for the night.

The next day, Marlevane went outside to check the mailbox and ran into our neighbor (we'll call him Steve). Steve asked what all the banging was about in our apartment the night before. Marlevane chuckled and said, "It's funny...we thought you were making the noise." and left it at that. After the encounter with Steve, it was confirmed to us that we did indeed have a spirit inhabiting our residence.

This past Monday, my niece and her friend were over for a visit. We were all downstairs (I live in a two story apartment) when the rapping started again. My niece and her friend asked what the noise was, but I told them it was probably my cat, just so they wouldn't get freaked out. A few moments later, we heard someone run down the stairs and I couldn't hide the truth anymore. They both turned pale-white and asked, "Was that the cat??" I had to tell them that it wasn't really my cat and we have a haunting for the time being. It wasn't long before they both left my apartment! ~lol~

So now, here I am....stuck with an unknown spirit. I am going to conduct a small investigation and am also going to try to communicate with this spirit on a more personal level. As soon as I find out more, I will post my findings. Stay tuned folks....

Hi ya,my friend! Yes it looks great here And this post is...well...it seems there has been quite a bit of related activity. I will be going thru your site again...To make a long story short...about a week ago I altered the protection spell I use by just a bit and invited only beings of light and friends to enter...I got to my place in "otherworld" as my friend above Holly calls it and there were four people waiting for me: my guide and librarian but also a woman in a long white ballroon gown as well as an elderly guy that my guide seemed to be shielding me from...I talked to everyone but the elderly man and it was probably the strangest foray there to date...Well, I had a friend come to my place to take a few pictures of me to put up in my album...Magenta..there are at least 7 orbs in one picture!! The others showed nothing..it was only in the last picture...In talking to someone about this..it was actually my lady Moonie who discovered them...I was never told that I had to close the portal once I had returned...I just imagine settling back in my body and watch as my protective sphere dissolves and then I carry on...Does this make any sense to you? I obviously know very little about magick but there have been some unusual indications that things within me are not the usual...and I cannot totally account for some of the ideas that are surfacing...one situation in my life in particular has become a source of almost daily anxiety and bordering on obsession...Any ideas on this?
Anyway, as far as using your banners, you are more than welcome...you guys have soooo much info that I know would be helpful to others in their journey. I do have an idea...If you saw the Paths page, you'll see that I wanted to keep it simple and provide just a simple thought and then a link that exxplains it further...I would like to include one thought each week that I can link directly to your site...If you have any ideas or preference I would welcome your input...part of my aim is to help

Man, I can be such a motor mouth sometimes..hehehe...I just wanted to add that part of my aim is to demnostrate that not only are you guys very knowledgeable but authorities on many aspects of paganism as well. I'll send you off an email shortly with my banner...And I hope Ariana enjoyed Samhain and got lots of teeth-decaying candy...hehehe...(can you tell I'm an uncle?..hehe) Some of my siblings regard me as being too "permissive" to my nieces and nephews..and I just laugh..the stinker that I am..hehehe...Sorry for taking up so much room here..the nerve of some writers, eh?..hehehe. I do hope that this finds you and yours in excellent health and even better spirits..and I defintely want to hear more about your new lodger...
